Sports stars celebs draft picks

Los Angeles brought the star power to the 2025 Upper Deck NHL Draft.

Celebrities and sports stars helped announce the first-round draft picks at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Friday.

Former Philadelphia 76ers great Charles Barkley announced Porter Martone as the sixth selection in the draft by the Philadelphia Flyers.

Another Philadelphia great, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham, announced the Flyers’ No. 12 pick Jack Nesbitt.

Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang had some help from his 12-year-old son, Alex, as they selected Benjamin Kindel for the team at pick No. 11.

Alex pulled double duty, pressing the trade alert button, after the Penguins traded away the 12th overall selection.

St. Louis native, comedian Nikki Glaser, brought the laughs while making the St. Louis Blues selection at their draft party.

NHL Hall of Famers Jeremy Roenick and Shea Weber performed the honors for their former teams, the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators, respectively.

Rock band Goo Goo Dolls handled the duties for their hometown Buffalo Sabres and "Full House" actor Dave Coulier announced the pick for his Detroit Red Wings. Coulier is currently cancer free after being treated for non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Super New York Islanders fan, actor Kevin Connolly, made the team’s 16th and 17th selections.

NFL tight end George Kittle put on his Nashville Predators jersey to make the team's No. 21 pick.
